VET FEE-HELP

VET FEE-HELP is a Commonwealth Government Loan Scheme available to eligible students enrolled in approved courses to assist them to pay for their tuition fees. Eligible students may apply for their whole course, one unit or even part of a unit. Eligible students may be studying on campus, online, or at an extension campus. Eligible students may borrow up to a life-time limit of $86,422 (2011 indexed to inflation). There is a 20% loan fee that applies for all VET FEE-HELP loans and the FEE-HELP limit does not include the loan fee. How it works: The Australian Government pays the eligible student's tuition fees to the college on behalf of the eligible student, and eligible students begin to repay their debt to the Australian Government through the Australian Taxation Office once their income reaches a prescribed threshold in 2011-12 is $47,196. Under the provisions of Schedule 1A of the Higher Education Support Act 2003 (HESA) and Chapter 3 of the VET Provider Guidelines Harvest Bible College, Inc (the First Provider) must comply with the VET Tuition Assurance requirements This is to protect students in the event that Harvest Bible College, Inc ceases to provide a VET course of study in which a student is enrolled.

Higher Education Tuition Assurance

Under the provisions of the Higher Education Support Act 2003 (HESA) and the associated HEP Guidelines Harvest Bible College Inc. (the First Provider) is required to provide a tuition assurance arrangement for Australian citizens or holders of an Australian permanent humanitarian visa who are enrolled in higher education courses it offers. This requirement is to protect a student in the event that Harvest Bible College Inc. ceases to provide a course of study in which a student is enrolled. The meaning of 'ceasing to provide a course of study' is set out in the HEP Guidelines
