Ps Grant Buchanan - Head of VET

Dip Counselling (AIPC), MI dip (BCNZ), Btheol (Otago), MA (HarvestBC)

Grant is head of Vocational Education Studies at Harvest and works as a Chaplain in a local high School. Along with his wife Trudy he also counsels and mentors couples and individuals through to health and maturity in all aspects of their lives. He has a particular focus towards working with marriage relationships and men's sexuality. In 2010 the family joined the leadership team of Kaleidoscope, a new emergent church plant in Pakenham that seeks to connect the disconnected in society to God by providing a meeting place where Jesus and life intersect.

Grant has a passion for Biblical and Systematic Theology - with particular emphases on Trinitarian thought, Christology and Soteriology, as well as a love of NT development and teaching - mainly in the areas of the Gospels and Pauline studies. His desire is to challenge and encourage Christians to live a theologically grounded and biblically informed life centred on healthy Christian community and radical Christ-centred discipleship.

He loves flying, music, AFL (Go Saints!), playing squash, watching NZ beat the Aussies in any sport, Monty Python, good curries and Hokey Pokey Ice Cream. When he is not drinking good coffee while helping people he is either reading theology for fun or getting out and about with his family.

Grant lives in Melbourne's South East along with his wife Trudy, 2 boys and his cat.
