Overview

Established in 1985 by our founding president Ps Alun Davies, Harvest Bible College’s philosophy is built upon the foundational mission of Training Effective Ministry Worldwide to Serve Local Churches. This goal is accomplished through an educational program that is practical and relevant, in a Spirit-empowered environment. Training students from more than 44 countries for over 27 years, the significant number of Harvest graduates in ministry throughout Australia and overseas is a testimony to the quality of our training programmes.

Harvest Bible College is a Pentecostal College recognised by the Assemblies of God in Australia and open to people from across the Christian spectrum. Our students hail from various denominations including Anglican, Baptist, Church of Christ, Presbyterian & Uniting Church. Harvest’s Pentecostal distinctive includes upholding sound Biblical doctrine and the Holy Spirit’s anointing for ministry empowerment.

Driving the mission and vision of our College is our President, Dr Brendan Roach, academic faculty and staff. To empower our students with fresh perspectives in their area of ministry training, the Harvest faculty and staff hail from diverse backgrounds in Christian ministry, including church planting, pastoral, Christian education, children’s ministry, evangelism and missionary ministries.

Providing an exceptional education to our students is only the beginning of Harvest Bible College’s mission. Our mission of Training Effective Ministry Worldwide to Serve Local Churches underscores our commitment to invest the highest level of quality training and quality support into the lives of our students, alumni and the ongoing work of ministry around the world. For more than 27 years, Harvest has trained more than 2,500 people from over 40 countries to support and fulfill their God-given dreams. As the President of Harvest Bible College, I am humbled and awed to see how God has used our ministry in the lives of our student, and how they have gone on to impact others across the globe.

With a rigorous academic programme, well-qualified academics who are also practitioners in the local church, modern teaching facilities, multiple campuses and study centres in Australia;  and a dynamic and vibrant student community, Harvest is well-positioned to meet the needs of men and women who are looking for quality training to support the call of God in their lives.

As Founding President of Harvest Bible College, nothing thrills me more than seeing how the College has, for 27 years, trained effective ministry worldwide to serve local churches. Thousands of people have been trained and released into ministry. I look back in wonder at what God has done since our humble beginnings in 1985. The God-given vision and mission of Harvest has continued to be a strong and supportive partner to the local church in Australia and internationally. Indeed, many of our graduates have gone on to impact the churches and communities that they serve in powerfully, be they in Australia, Asia, Africa, the Pacific, North America and Europe. Harvest has grown over the years in terms of our excellence, academic standing, ministry equipping, course offerings, the calibre of our academics and staff, and geographical reach.
