Ps Alun Davies

In addition to being the Founding President of Harvest Bible College, Pastor Alun Davies has been the
Senior Pastor of Faith! Christian Church for 28 years, was State President of Australian Christian
Churches Victoria for the past 12 years, is President of the missions arm of Australian Christian
Churches known as ACC International, and is also the National Vice President of Australian Christian
Churches.
Harvest Bible College has completed over 25 years of training leaders for ministry. During this time we
have trained many hundreds of people for ministry and enabled them to fulfil their God-given dream.
I have watched with anticipation the flow of students studying and graduating every year. I am excited
to see our graduates effective and fruitful in many leadership positions as they continue to grow in
ministry and influence.
As we continue into the future our passion is a strong as ever to train more people to achieve their
destiny and develop their ministry. Our courses have improved. Our delivery is better than ever. Our
faculty is the best we have ever had as we continue our commitment to train and teach with excellence.
Our network of colleges continues to expand and strengthen and we know we can help you fulfil your

Principal
Dr Brendan Roach
Ed.D. (Nova), M.A. (Melb), Post. Grad. Dip., B.A. (Harvest), Cert IV (AWT).
Dr. Brendan is the Principal of Harvest Bible College. He is an expert in the training and professional
development of ministers. He holds a Doctorate of Education from NSU, a Master of Arts from The
University of Melbourne, and a Master's level (Archaeology) from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
He regularly teaches and preaches both locally and internationally and appears on the Australian
Christian Channel.
Brendan teaches and preaches both locally and internationally, and brings the word of God alive by
applying it to everyday life. Brendan has trained ministers in several countries around the world and
continues to build the local church by pouring into the lives of men and women of God that are called
into ministry. His personal ministry purpose statement is "To connect with people who's desire is to
become all that God has called them to be and do all that God has called them to do."
Teaching Areas:
He lectures in various fields including: The Life and Ministry of Jesus; Old Testament Archaeology;
Strategic Leadership; Homiletics; Old Testament Survey and New Testament History.
Campus Director
Rev Ian Grant
Ph.D. (Cand.) (Monash), M.A. Miss. (Fuller), Dip. T. (UNE). Dip. Min. (Faith BC), Cert IV (AWT).
Ian came to HBC in 1999 fresh from six years as Senior Pastor of a significant multicultural church in
Brisbane. The son of missionaries to Vanuatu, he is a trained teacher, serving with the Apostolic Church
in Papua New Guinea, developing national leadership both in Bible College and general education.
Leadership training and contextualising the Gospel were the focus of his M.A in Missiology at Fuller
Seminary's School of World Mission.
Ian is a PhD candidate at Monash University, has served as Principal and Dean of Bible Colleges, and
taught in a variety of undergraduate and graduate institutions internationally.
He has pioneered, and regularly consults with churches, mission and other training organizations,
particularly in the Asia-Pacific Rim.
With his wife Nais and four sons he helped pioneer Hope Generation, a youth / young adults church
with ACC in the City of Casey. He is passionate about fathering young anointed leaders, global missions,
espresso coffee, contemporary worship, forests and reefs!

External Studies Director
Ps Michael Podhaczky
Ph.D. (Applic.), M.A.(theology) , B.A. Bib. Stud., B.A., Cert IV (TAA).
Michael has been a minister and teacher for twenty three years. He has a passion to teach and
impart Biblical and Theological truths, which are contained in Scripture and seen within Church
history. His experience has be achieved through years of lecturing, supervising Biblical education,
Pastoring, preaching and ministry within the college and local Church setting and overseas.
His ability to effectively communicate the Bible and theological truths is continually being developed
and enhanced through both; ministry in both Australia and abroad and further study.
Michael has been happily married for 30 years to his wife lovely Diyanne. They have a fantastic family,
which is made up of three wonderful children, a terrific son-in-law, a charming daughter-in-law (who all
love and serve the Lord) and three beautiful granddaughters. Michael loves a good spicy curry and has
been asked if he has curry flowing through his veins.

Chaplain
Rev Graham Holman
M.Ed. St. (Monash), B.Th. (MCD)., B.Sc.(Melb.) , Cert IV (TAA).
Graham Holman worked for many years in secondary education, serving as Deputy Principal for over 10
years before going into full time ministry in 1998. During that time he was an active Assistant Minister
, first in the Apostolic Church and later in the CRC Churches International. He joined the faculty of
Harvest Bible College in 2000. Together with his wife Eulalie he pioneered Living Way Christian Network
in 2001 and continues to serve there as the Senior Pastor. He has served on the CRC State Training Board
for the past 15 years and been its chairman for the past 5. He has been a member of the CRC National
Training Team since 2004 and has led the development and introduction of Certificate IV and Diploma
courses for the CRC. Graham teaches CRC emerging leaders and prospective ministers across Victoria at
a range of level as expressions of his heart to teach and train and care pastorally. He is regularly
consulted on the appropriate training paths for young and prospective ministers. He has been the
Chaplain of Harvest Bible College since 2000.

Head of Biblical Studies and Director of Research
Dr Jon Newton
PhD (Deakin), MA Theol (BCV/ACT), BA Hons (ICI), BA, Dip Ed (Sydney), Cert IV in TAA (ACOM)
Jon is an experienced Bible teacher, pastor, school principal and missionary with a passion for
reaching the nations with the truth of God's Word and training and encouraging Christian leaders.
He joined the faculty of Harvest in 2009 after three years as academic dean of Tabor College, Sydney.
He is an ordained minister with ACC who regularly ministers in churches and colleges in Australia and
Asia with a prophetic anointing. He is the author of "Revelation Reclaimed: the Use and Misuse of the
Apocalypse" (Paternoster 2009). His ministry vision is summed up in three words "International
Investment and Impact."
Teaching Areas:
Biblical Studies generally, e.g. Old Testament and New Testament Survey, Pauline Literature, Acts.

Director of Academic Affairs
Dr David Morgan
MDiv (Fuller); PhD (Dunelm)
David has been involved in Pentecostal churches for over twenty years. He has worked and studied in the
USA and the UK to fulfil his passion to teach at university level. His experiences include working in
secular employment, short term missions, leading ministry teams, being a founding member and elder of
a church plant, teaching in churches and colleges in Australia and overseas as well as ministry within
colleges and local Church settings. He continues to try and find better ways to communicate the truths
of God through study, reflection and interaction with students.
David is madly in love with his wonderful wife of 10 years and they have a super son.

State Director QLD
Ps Kay Dohle
DipEd(LaTrobe) BSc(LaTrobe) DipChrMin(Har) Harvest Bible College
Coming to Christ through a Pentecostal university ministry (Students For Christ) shaped much of Kay's
Christian perspective. Her formative years as a Christian were spent sharing the gospel with fellow
University students, discipling new converts and raising up leaders. These ministry skills were built
upon as she later served as a missionary in the Philippines from 1990-1995.
On her return Kay served on the ministry team of Richmond AOG as their young adults pastor, overseeing
missions and in areas of teaching and training. She continues to be actively involved in her local
church and with a calling to see the Great Commission fulfilled Kay has ministered in many nations
focusing on the training of emerging leaders.
In 2003 Kay join the staff of AOG World Missions as their mobilisation and placement coordinator. In
this role Kay prepared Australians for long and short-term service overseas. In 2006 she commenced
lecturing at Harvest Bible College as an adjunct lecturer. Having worked as the College's Dean of Women
, Quality Assurance Officer and lecturer she is now the Queensland State Director.
She is an avid reader, loves swimming and enjoys watching all forms of sport; cricket being her
favorite.
Head of VET
Grant Buchanan
Dip Counselling (cand), MI dip (BCNZ), Btheol (Otago), MA (cand)
Grant lives in Melbourne's South East along with his wife Trudy, 2 boys and his cat. He works as a
Chaplain in a local high School and as head of Vocational studies at Harvest. Along with Trudy he also
counsels and mentors couples and individuals through to health and maturity in all aspects of their
lives. He has a particular bent towards working with marriage relationships and men's sexuality.
In 2010 the family have joined the leadership team of Kaleidoscope, a new emergent church plant in
Pakenham that's seeks to connect the disconnected in society to God by providing a meeting place where
Jesus and life intersect.
Grant has a passion for Systematic and Biblical Theology - with particular emphases on Trinitarian
thought, Christology and Soteriology, as well as a love of NT development and teaching - mainly in the
areas of the Gospels and Pauline studies. His desire is to challenge and encourage Christians to live a
theologically grounded and biblically informed life centred on healthy Christian community and radical
Christ centred discipleship.
He loves flying, music, AFL (Go Saints!), playing squash, watching NZ beat Aussie in any sport,
Monty Python, good curries and Hokey Pokey Ice Cream. When he is not drinking good coffee while
helping people he is either reading theology for fun or getting out and about with his family.
Librarian
Kerrie Stevens
AALIA, MAppSc(Lib&InfoMgt)(CSU), BBus (Info & Library Management)(RMIT).
Kerrie is passionate about her role as the Harvest librarian and has seen the library grow to contain
over 50,000 volumes over several campuses. She is always on the lookout for more resources for students
and is always willing to assist students with using the library's facilities.
