Sandra began with Harvest Bible College in 2011 where she reworked an Arts in Ministry subject for dance.  She now enjoys lecturing and tutoring on a wide variety of subjects in the area of theology, with a particular passion for ethics and apologetics.  She has had wide experience in ministry, missions, and teaching.  She has faithfully served in ministry with Garden City Christian Church (now Hillsong, Brisbane) for over 30 years in diverse areas from pastoral care to dance, and with a particular passion for teaching new Christians and ongoing discipleship for the mature.  She has spent two years on mission work with Youth With A Mission overseas, as well as other mission work in Thailand.

Sandy has also been an independent dance artist/choreographer/teacher/director of Dance Schools and a Dance Co: Excelsia Dance (a collective of believer artists).  As a performer, she has danced in a myriad of dance and theatre productions in Australia and overseas, ranging from the Sydney Opera House to refugee camps in Central America.  As a teacher, she has been Principal of three Dance Schools, has taught many workshops in conferences, guest taught and choreographed for others, examines dance students, has had articles published on the creative arts, and has featured in a short Australian dance film “The Last Tango in Sunnybank” by Rosetta Cook.  Previously, her professional dance collective “Excelsia Dance” has been a guest of Tabor College, Adelaide, giving master classes and touring a choreographic project around Adelaide in 2005.  Other highlights include the Company taking a dance work “Unspeakable” (dealing with human trafficking) to New York to perform at a Women’s Conference and in association with “Stop Child Trafficking Now” organisation in 2009.

As an avid advocate for many social justice issues, Sandy also has an Arts and Law Degree.  She has a particular passion to combine her advocacy skills for justice with the performing arts in artistic works that impact the heart and bring about change in the viewers.  She enjoys defending the faith and discussing the big questions in life with others, as well as cats, chocolate and good coffee.  She also has three adorable children.
