Harvest students’ Wolfgang and Dianne Sue have a vision to see rural communities in the Isan region of Thailand become places where families can be self-sustaining and healthy through indigenous community development.

Wolfgang and Dianne want to support this change by living God’s word on a daily basis within the community. – We believe in the inherent dignity and worth of every individual God has created, and we want to empower communities to respect and value everyone, regardless of birth or status. We will support the community to carry the process of change , and we like to see indigenous churches planted.

I started studying at Harvest in 2007 and graduated in 2010 with a Diploma in Ministry. I am currently enrolled in the Master’s program. I did all my studies online as I am living on a farm in northern Victoria and spend significant time in Thailand, where we have been working again since October 2014.

I have always enjoyed my studies. As my calling is to overseas mission work, I have chosen many subjects relating to intercultural ministry. I find my studies very helpful for my work in Thailand; it is paramount to understand the culture and worldview of the people group you work with. My studies at Harvest have definitely equipped me well for the task Jesus has set before me.

My wife, Dianne, and I are working as missionaries with Australian Christian Churches International (ACCI). Since graduation, I have supported a local church plant in a town near our home church in Victoria. In our church, I have served in leadership. As a board member, I was also on the preaching roster and spent significant time in the local community and organised various outreach events.

Since 2013, we have been preparing for our next step, which is to serve in the Isan region in Thailand. This region has about 23 million people and is one of the most unreached places for the gospel in our world.

I started a Graduate Certificate in Theology last June, as I felt that I needed to know more facts about my faith. I think sometimes we are passionate about God and reaching others for God, but lack the knowledge and tools to do so effectively.

Studying at Harvest helps my husband and I to keep abreast of current thinking regarding contemporary issues. I study two subjects per semester, online, and find this is the most effective mode of study for me as we are overseas.
