A part of His wonders
In response to invitations from indigenous leaders, I conduct practical infield seminars that train and empower others to grow stronger in God; I preach in churches, teach in Bible colleges, and create Kingdom of God resources for heart languages throughout the world. I also write and produce an online magazine, #ineverystep, that tells some of the stories of people whose lives have been transformed.
In 2006, for seven days and seven nights, God invaded my world with visions, words, pictures, and scriptures about hearing the cries of the poor, climaxing with, ‘I want you to go to India’. I did not want to go to India, but I knew God enough to trust in His love. Once I had landed on Indian soil, I stood on a hill and looked across the land. God spoke clearly: ‘The people here are very spiritual. I am sending you like the Apostle Paul into Athens, in the name of the unknown God’. At that time I did not know exactly what that meant, but trusted God to reveal and fulfil Jesus loves : the world ministry.
God later said, in 2008, ‘I want you to go to Bible College’. My time at Harvest was an invaluable part of God’s preparing and equipping me. God revealed that He had anointed me to preach, and teach and train others for the Kingdom of God. My response was, ‘As you speak it Father, so be it. You will have to do the work because I cannot’. In chapel towards the end of 2011, God explained how I would be in fulltime ministry: ‘Vicki, trust me’. God continually reminded me of these three words many times in the following years.
By the end of 2012, I finally graduated and felt ready for ministry. But no invitations were forthcoming. A single word from Dr Brendan Roach on graduation night stayed in my mind: ‘Wait!’ Little did I know God was orchestrating a series of encounters that, in the fullness of time, resulted in invitations to preach, and teach and train for the Kingdom of God. He was empowering me to discern the time and the seasons, revealing His work even in the darkest places.
When the many challenges come I stand in the faithfulness and certainty of Him. He has changed me to see others through His love. When I look into the teary eyes of one who has just been touched by God, I see His love perfected. In God’s relentless pursuit of the lost and found, I am one with His heart.
The fulfilment of my destiny in this life journey is in surrendering to my Father’s will, carrying His presence within me and upon me wherever I go. He is the one doing the work. Only Jesus can change hearts and set people free. Only He.
Many hearts have been ignited with a hunger and thirst for God through my ministry; receiving healing, and the impartation of gifts, hope, faith, love, dreams, and visions. I hear so many testimonies of lives transformed: ‘I have seen a great light; I feel that light has touched me and I am now changed forever’; ‘I learned how important my life in God’s Kingdom is, to touch lives of people.’ I am overwhelmed when those who have little give out of their need and not of out their excess. Recently, a widow gave two months worth of her small pension (which covers her medicines) to help fund resource materials.
The affirmation, encouragement, prayers, and great learning imparted by the lecturers at Harvest will continue to bear much fruit through my calling. To think that God gives us all the opportunity to be part of His wonders continues to amaze me.
