His call on my life
I grew up in Melbourne. My parents were Pastors before I was born, so I was always very involved in playing my part to build up the church. Throughout my childhood, I served in Kids Church and on the worship team, then as a teenager I began leading worship.
From a young age I sensed the call of God and knew that I wanted to give my life to serve Him. By the age of 19, when I was fresh out of high school, I became the youth co-ordinator (Youth Pastor) of our youth ministry and I continued in this role for 5 years.
I really enjoyed my studies and the training experience at Harvest. I loved having the opportunity to learn and interact with lecturers and students – very inspiring atmosphere. I also loved having the opportunity to get involved in campus life – leading the worship team, leading chapel times, and developing my ministry gifts.
Studying at Harvest was also great preparation for my ministry. It was so valuable to be able to do studies and begin the ministry journey alongside other students – a few of us were fresh youth pastors while we were studying.
I also really valued the Harvest camps, chapel times, and prophetic moments in class where we’d have the opportunity to receive ministry, be encouraged and hear from God – God used these moments to confirm His call on my life – to stir my heart and to direct me into the things He had for my future.
In my early 20’s I served with Red Frogs during the schoolies weeks and continued for 4 years. I also began working in the Youth Alive VIC team for the next 5 years, helping to run the big events and to co-ordinate the Victorian schools tours. I got many opportunities to preach or lead worship for Red Frogs, Harvest Bible College, Youth Alive South East Region, and various youth ministries and camps.
I graduated from Harvest in 2009 and the following year I was invited to take on the role of Junior High Pastor at Shirelive Church in Sydney. I felt that this was a God given opportunity, so I moved my life to Sydney and began on staff at Shirelive. Later that year I was asked to also take on the role of Worship Director. Since 2013, I transitioned to the role of Kids Pastor at Shirelive and I continue in this role today. In 2014, I also became the State Director for ACC Kids (Kids R Us) for NSW.
